Polymeric Single Ply

Flexible, versatile, low-maintenance waterproofing

Single ply is an extremely versatile waterproofing solution and has been one of the most popular roof specification options for almost half a century.  They provide exceptional freedom of choice in roof design and appearance and are well suited to both new build construction and roof refurbishment projects. With a long track record of successful waterproofing all across Europe, single ply systems offer rapid installation, flexibility and long-lasting protection from the elements. Many modern single ply membranes also offer excellent environmental credentials and Green Guide ratings.

Single ply membranes are strong, flexible sheets composed predominantly of synthetic polymer. Some products are homogeneous, whilst others are reinforced with glass fibre or polyester, depending upon the application. Single ply membranes are typically around 1.1mm to 2mm thick and are sealed at joints to form continuous waterproofing. When combined with insulation and continuous support they form complete, durable roof systems.

Features and benefits of polymeric single ply systems:

  • Rapid installation allowing for fast-track construction and early interior fit-out
  • Safe, flame-free construction using hot-air welding, adhesives and fasteners
  • Minimum roof zone depth to maximise design freedom
  • Simple detailing to suit all situations
  • Low maintenance system with easy repair, modification and refurbishment
  • Various colour options with matching profiles for eaves, verges and parapets
