This week we look back to a stunning project that we completed at The University of Birmingham STEM Building back in 2018. On this prestigious educational project, MAC was selected to install a wide range of envelope protection systems, including flat roof waterproofing, vertical cladding and architectural aluminium features.
From the outset, MAC’s Design & Delivery Teams worked in close conjunction with the Main Contractor and Client in order to rationalise the wide range of specified systems, resulting in significant cost savings, improved installation times and more simplistic detailing.
This project was also located in the heart of the University complex which was live throughout the construction period. It was therefore essential to carefully plan all material deliveries to site at specific times in order to minimise any disruption and eliminate any safety risks.
